Twisted Braid
This was done making 8 french twists around her head. Under that I made three more larger twists. Then starting on the opposite side of where I wanted the braid to end I french braided the twists together.

Twisty side pony
This was done with a french twist around her head, ending in a pony where I did three rope twists and then twisted THEM together.
