Twists and Braids
Looks complicated... but really isn't.
Take a one inch strip of hair from ear to ear. Separate into 6 equal parts. Alternate twists and braids through all 6 parts. Take a one inch strip behind the first. Separate into 5 parts, off set from the original 6. Alternate braids and twists. Then simply combine together as shown. Gives sort of a weaved effect. I finished with a braid, but you could pull it into a ponytail, and do a messy twisted bun.

Zig Zag Braids
Easy one today! Five french braids, separated by zigzag parts! :) Easy, but cool looking. Holds up really well too! :) Get on it!
Start with one side of the head, closest to the face. Part off a section using a zigzag part. If you are unsure how to do a zigzag part, it's really easy. Take a rat tail comb and draw a zigzag along the scalp, part like you would normaly by running your finger down the end of the comb to separate. Pull your extra hair tightly off to the side so it stays out of the way and you get nice definition between braids. French braid that section, you can go all the way down or stop partway. Now section off for the next braid. I let my zigzags go wherever, but you could be careful and have them match up closely all the way around the head. Repeat this step though all 5 braids. Then I weaved them together a bit, put in an elastic, and the fishtailed the ends. If you wanted you could just do a pony, or even a regular braid at the ends. :D

Inside Out French Braid
I've had some emails asking about the length of the munchkins hair. Her hair is quite long, but anything we do could be done on shorter hair. You might have to modify slightly, but most everything is doable.

Today's hair is a simple inside out french. This is just a little bit different, so it's fun for us. :D

Multiple Braids to Side Braid
Today's hair is simple, Three french braids, around the head, into one braid on the side. :D Part of the reason I love french braids so much is that she can usually wear it for two days, so we spend a bit doing her hair, and then the next day she can keep it if she wants, or we can change to something else.
